Indonesia is Delicious.

Indonesia has so many cultures that really interest foreign people to come in to Indonesia. Why? Because Indonesian cultures are unique and meanful in every ceremonies which they do for wedding, circumcision, and many more. So, culture is something that has become a habit and be hereditary.

From all those cultures, food also included to become one of Indonesia culture. Because in a process of making Indonesian foods need a skill and good technique and those skills and technique became the cultures. All the techiques has been teached by the ancestors to their grand children and go on like that. To make Indonesian Traditional food, we also need the old recipes that has been transformated and regenerated to make it taste better and awesome.

For example, rendang is one of West Sumatera specialty foods. When somebody going to eat it, our mind set always, ‘that’s West Sumatra specialty food. It’s also spicy’. And mindset become nother culture in that case. European and American love something sensational, especially food’s taste.

In an interview with Ex-Manager of The Oasis Restaurant, Melissa Dibyo, she said that foreign people loves Indonesian foods, especially The Oasis Rijsttafel or we can call it like ‘Walking Buffet’. ‘There’s about seven kind of foods on Rijsttafel big plate for main course and six kind of food for dessert,’ she explained. And it’s all about Indonesian foods.

Most of The Oasis customers are the foreign people. They said The Oasis is the centre of Indonesian food which is really delicious although it’s expensive for Indonesian. The all customers always give a good comments for Indonesian food. And most of them love the spicy one.  ‘I like that food (rendang and chicken curry) which give me a sensational taste. Lot of spice and little bit scathing,’ explained some of foreigners when the came to The Oasis.

Not only The Oasis where people can find Indonesian foods. There’re Minang restaurant which serve Sumatran foods, Sundanesse restaurant which serve Sundanesse foods, and also Javanesse restaurant which serve Javanesse foods. If you still can’t get enough just from sumatran, sundanesse, and javanesse, another island of Indonesia will serve the foods according to their cultures, like Bali, Borneo, Celebes, and Papua.
